We currently have exciting opportunity for talented Divisional Sales Manager to join our diverse and fashion forward floors.

 
The Divisional Sales Manager oversees the daily operations of a two floor womenswear department. They are an integral part of the management team and the primary contact for their direct reports. This role has four Sales Managers that will report to it. Ensuring sales, service and stock targets are achieved are key components to the role. In addition this role provides hand on support with scheduled staff training and development, merchandising, visual merchandising, inventory control and e-commerce. The divisional sales manager role is a truly exciting and encompassing role. The person will work alongside the Head of Sales to make sure Liberty Womenswear continues to innovate and be a global market leader in everything specialist, quirky and creative.

Key Accountabilities

Leadership and Coaching

• Plans department rota to ensure sufficient cover during peak trade
• Completes one-to-one reviews with team, setting and following up on objectives and targets
• Addresses performance issues (alongside HR, if need be), within a timely manner. Continues to enhance performance with regular coaching
• Holds team briefs that are planned in advance to engage and energise the team to sell
• Is responsible for the booking of training sessions on product and service. Utilises external suppliers and ensures sessions have an impact on department performance
• Actively develops their team.
• Takes responsibility for recruitment, clearly defines what they are looking for and takes on people who add value
• Prepares team to welcome new recruits. Plans a training programme for their first three months to ensure they are in a position to contribute as soon as possible. A mentor is assigned to support their training and integrate them into the team
• Forges and builds working relationships with other sales managers and buyers in their own and other departments
• Oversees the departments full completion of the Liberty Compendium twice a year  

 Service for Sales

• Allocates challenging sales targets to each member of the team and monitors progress through productivity
• Sets, rewards and incentives team to achieve targets and coaches team to further enhance performance
• Executes floor moves in line with brand performance and sell through
• Provides weekly trade feedback highlighting successes, customer feedback and opportunities for further growth
• Ensures the team are fully versed with all Store services and promotions
• Solves customer issues before they escalate making best judgement decisions in the interest of the customer and business

Standards

• Floor walks happen daily ensuring product availability and standards of the shop floor (including staff and stock) and stockroom are adhered to
• Prevents stock loss ensuring all stock is tagged, free from the liability of damage, paper work is correctly administered and the correct Pos numbers go through the till
• Prepares, participates in and directs the stock take ensuring the results are accurate and in line with targets and KPI’s
